ABOUT OUR FIRST AID TRAINING COURSE
The skills of basic first aid are important for the whole population, not just pilots. However the aviation course goes beyond basic first aid and introduces the student to some of the situations and injuries that may be encountered at an airfield aswell as in the air.
The aviation first aid course is introduce the essential skills needed to deal with both general first aid and also specific scenarios applicable to the airfield and when flying. The course will consider places such as aircraft hangars/workshops (used for maintenance, inspections and storage) as well as general airfield operations for clubs, flying schools and generally covering all aspects of airfield life and types of issues that could occur.
Suitable for student pilots, qualified pilots, instructors, examiners, Air traffic personnel. Usually 1 day long including assessment and can be tailor made to suit specific needs at different airfields. Details can be discussed prior to booking the training course with the instructor.
On completion of the course/assessment students will be qualified with a level 2 Aviation First Aid qualification. A certificate will be issued and lasts for 3 years. This can also be used towards the BMAA wings programme and also will allow the student to also progress to a full First Aid Course.

The course can be tailor made and designed to fit individual airfields/Student needs. All instructors are qualified teachers and also qualified pilots themselves.
